Abstract
Multiple myeloma comprises 1-2% of all malignant diseases and 10% of hematological malignancies. Incidence increases with age. Current developments have taken place in both etiopathogenesis and management strategies in recent years. Although there is no curative change in today's standard therapy procedures, new developments suggest curability for this disease.
