Abstract
Phytochemicals - the bioactive nonnutrient plant compounds in fruit, vegetables, whole grains, and other plant foods - have been linked to reductions in the risk of age-related diseases such as atherosclerosis, cancer, diabetes, osteoporosis, vascular diseases and metabolic syndrome.
