Özet

Lower urinary tract disorders are prevalent in the general population and encompass a variety of symptoms and clinical presentations associated with the lower urinary tract. These issues can include a broad spectrum of symptoms that may severely impact the quality of life of individuals and their caregivers. Given their potential to restrict participation in activities of daily living, lead to upper urinary tract complications, negatively affect health-related well-being, and even result in mortality, these conditions necessitate treatment. To deliver effective and appropriate treatment, a comprehensive assessment of the individual is essential. Following this assessment, it is recommended to develop a holistic rehabilitation program, considering the individual as a biopsychosocial entity. In this section of the book, the assessment and treatment approaches of physiotherapists in managing lower urinary tract disorders/dysfunction will be discussed.
