Özet

Maintaining long-term adherence in physical therapy practices is essential for the sustainability of treatment efficacy.  Nevertheless, numerous folks, particularly those with chronic ailments, gradually lose their early drive and find it challenging to comply with structured exercise regimens.  A current option to solve this issue is the implementation of gamification as a mechanism to promote health behaviors.  This section examines the design of gamification applications in physical therapy, the theoretical frameworks that underpin them, and the structuring of individualized interventions based on unique player types.  Based on Richard Bartle's four-type model and Andrzej Marczewski's HEXAD model, gamification strategies tailored to individual motivational inclinations are outlined, along with design examples pertinent to success-oriented, exploratory, social, competitive, free-spirited, altruistic, and rule-breaking user profiles.  The possibility of individualized digital applications to enhance the therapeutic interaction and augment individual engagement is examined.  The objective is not solely to deliver exercise prescriptions in physical therapy but to comprehend the individual's behavioral and motivational framework to guarantee sustained engagement.
