Abstract

AIM: To determine a retrospective analysis due to the risk factors in the cases diagnosed as ectopic pregnancy. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Between the years of January 1997-January 2002 225 subjects in GMMA Obstetrics and Gynaecology clinic who were diagnosed and treated as ectopic pregnancies had been retrospectively analysed. All subjects were related to the risk factors which play a role in ectopic pregnancy etiology. RESULTS: When whole cases were evaluated according to the risk factors %59.8 of the cases are shown as; having previous operation (%42.6), having previous ectopic pregnancy (%9.3), asissted reproduction technics like ovulation induction and IVF (%10.6), having previous tubal operation and pelvic inflamatory disease and using IUD (%4). CONCLUSION: In these risk factors to have a previous operation has been found as the highest rate.
