Abstract

A series of uniform, macroporous particles with different surface chemistries and acrylic comonomers were prepared in multistep seeded polymerization. The nonspecific protein adsorption behavior of the particles was analyzed using albumin. Results showed that particles with relatively hydrophobic character provided high nonspecific albumin adsorption.
