Mercury is the only metal found in liquid form and can be vaporised in room temperatures. Mercury may show irritation, coagulation or corrosion, salivation, burning sensation in mouth and pharynx, fever, headache and muscle ache, metallic taste, nausea and vomiting, diarrhea and abdominal cramps, chemical pneumonitis and neuropsychiatric semptoms. Mercury may effect human health very openly and severely, or sometimes very sinisterly and slowly. A patient who does not seek medical help or does not receive proper management in the acute phase may present with chronic symptoms. This case report focuses on the symptoms presented by two cases with delayed diagnosis and their follow-up and care.
