Abstract

Adrenomyeloneuropathy (AMN) is one of the most frequent subtype of X-linked adrenoleucodystrophy. It's a difficult clinical entity to diagnose and treat with its combination of I. and II. motor neuron symptoms. AMN is a progressive disorder and clinical manifestations may differ according to affected systems. Exact clinical diagnosis can only be possible if increase of serum long chain fatty acids can be demonstrated. In this case report, clinical, radiologic and electrophysiological findings of a young mali patient with AMN is reviewed, rehabilitation needs and therapeutic approaches are discussed.
