Rectus sheath hematoma is a rarely seen entity often misdiagnosed as acute abdomen. Prompt history with careful physical examination and appropriate imaging studies help the correct diagnosis avoiding unnecessary laparotomies. In this article, we report a 67-year-oldmale patient on oral anticoagulant therapy due to mitral valve replacement who developed rectus sheath hematoma.
