Özet

Ether is often used to clean the operation field especially in general surgery, neurosurgery and ear, nose and throat surgery. A case of contact dermatitis due to ether under general anaesthesia is presented. A systemic allergic reaction also occurred in this patient. Drug allergies, contact dermatitis and anaphylaxis are briefly reviewed.
