Amaç: Komplikasyonsuz fakoemülsifikasyon ve intraoküler lens implantasyonu (FE-IOL) cerrahisi yapılan hastalarda ön segment parametrelerindeki değişimleri Scheimpflug kamera (Pentacam) ile değerlendirmek.Gereç ve Yöntem: Haziran 2012 - Mayıs 2013 tarihleri arasında Kahramanmaraş Necip Fazıl Şehir Hastanesi'nde FE-IOL cerrahisi yapılan 41 hastanın (22 erkek, 19 kadın) 55 gözü incelendi. Hastaların cerrahi öncesi ve cerrahi sonrası 1, 3 ve 6. ayda Pentacam ile ölçülen,ön kamara derinliği (ÖKD), ön kamara hacmi (ÖKH), ön kamara açısı (ÖKA), pupil çapı (PÇ), kornea hacmi (KH), santral kornea kalınlığı(SKK) değerleri kaydedildi. Bulgular: Hastaların ortalama yaşı 73,0±10,7 idi. Cerrahi öncesi ÖKD, ÖKH, ÖKA değerleri, cerrahi sonrası 1., 3. ve 6. aylardaki değerlerle karşılaştırıldığında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı artış izlendi (p<0,05). Cerrahi sonrası 1. ay KH, cerrahi öncesi KH değerlerine göre artmış olarak izlendi (p<0,05). SKK, PÇ ölçümlerinde ise, cerrahi öncesi ve cerrahi sonrası 1., 3. ve 6. aylardaki değerler arasındaistatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark izlenmedi (p>0,05). Sonuç: Komplikasyonsuz FE-IOL cerrahisi, ÖKD, ÖKH'da artışa ve ÖKA'da genişlemeye neden olmaktadır. Ön segment parametrelerinde, Pentacam görüntüleme sistemi ile kısa sürede ve objektif olarak tespit edilebilen bu değişimler, cerrahi müdahale ile değişen ön segmentanatomisi ve fizyolojisini daha iyi anlamaya yardımcı olacaktır
Objective: To evaluate the changes in anterior segment parameters using the Scheimpflug camera (Pentacam) after uncomplicated phacoemulsificationand intraocular lens implantation (PE-IOL).Material and Method: 55 eyes of 41 patients (22 males, 19 females) which undergone PE-IOL surgery between June 2012 - May 2013 inKahramanmaras Necip Fazıl City Hospital were evaluated. Anterior chamber depth (ACD), anterior chamber volume (ACV), anterior chamberangle (ACA), pupil diameter (PD), corneal volume (CV) and central corneal thickness (CCT) values which were measured preoperativeand postoperative 1st ,3rd and 6th months by Pentacam were recorded.Results: The mean age of the patients was 73.0 ± 10.7 (41-89). Statistically significant increases were observed in the mean values of ACD,ACV and ACA between preoperative and postoperative 3 and 6 months (p <0.05). A statistically significant increase was observed at 1 monthpostoperatively when compared to preoperatively (p <0.05). The differences between CCT and PD measurements taken preoperatively andtaken postoperatively at the 1st, the 3rd and the 6th months were not statistically significant (p>0.05).Conclusions: Uncomplicated PE-IOL surgery increased ACD and ACV and also widened ACA. Measurement of anterior segment parametersby Pentacam imaging system objectively in a short time may help us to understand the changes in the anterior segment anatomy and physiologyrelated to PE-IOL surgery.
